Memorial Glass FAQ
HOW MUCH ASH WILL BE REQUIRED?
Typically a teaspoon is more than enough for a memorial piece, though we will let you know how much is needed based on your specific order. Any ash that we don't use will be returned to you.
I'M NOT COMFORTABLE HANDLING THE ASH, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
If you are able to come in to see us we can gather the ash required for your order from the urn or container. If you can't make it in to see us we recommend contacting the funeral home or crematorium you have been working with and they should be able to help you with this.
I CAN'T MAKE IT TO THE STUDIO IN PERSON, HOW CAN I GET THE ASHES TO YOU?
You can use Canada Post or a courier service to ship the ash to us. We will contact you to confirm that we have received the ash, and to review your order with you before proceeding. If you're sending ash from the United States please reach out to us and we will be happy to help you with the process and explain what is required in terms of paperwork and packaging.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Once we have received the ash we aim to have your order complete within three weeks. If we anticipate that your order will take longer than this we will let you know. If you require the memorial by a specific date please contact us, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your request.
ARE CUSTOM DESIGNS AVAILABLE?
We always welcome custom designs and colour requests. Please let us know what you have in mind, and we will work with you to create a unique piece for you to cherish.
WILL MY MEMORIAL PIECE LOOK LIKE THE PHOTO ON THE WEBSITE?
Since we craft each memorial piece by hand, without the use of molds, the final piece will look very similar to the image on our website, though no two pieces are ever identical. Also, each set of cremains is different. Variations in the colour and coarseness of the ash can effect the appearance of the final piece, though in our opinion this only adds to the unique beauty of each memorial we create.
